This month we're sharing some of our customers' common questions about Core, along with answers from our medical advisory board.

Ingredients

My son has autism and is on a restrictive diet, but his doctor recommended Core.  Is the vanillin in Core all natural, or synthetic?

Children with autism are often put on a controlled diet as a part of their treatment, and it’s important that any supplements they may take – like Core – meet the same standards as the rest of their diet.  All of our ingredients, including the vanillin used in some products, are all-natural and not synthetic.

Free Radicals

How do free radicals damage the body?

Paul Addis, Ph.D., is an expert in antioxidants and free radicals.  As Addis explains, “Free radicals are molecules that have an unpaired electron.  They work as atomic pick-pockets taking electrons from other molecules and starting a chain reaction.”  For a more in-depth explanation of free radicals, click here to watch a short video.

What about fruits and veggies?

If I just eat enough fruits and veggetables, do I still need an antioxidant supplement?

According to Addis, Antioxidants are not one-size-fits-all, and it’s important to get a diverse blend of different antioxidants from different sources.  Eating 5 servings of different fruits and vegetables every day is a great way to get your antioxidants, but some might find that it’s just not practical with their busy schedules.  In addition, Core is packed with essential fatty acids, has very powerful immune strengthening properties, and aides a proper inflammatory response. Core is more than just an antioxidant supplement; it is clinically proven support for your body’s most vital systems.

A matter of taste

I really don't like the taste of Core.  Any suggestions?

Yes, we know that Core has a rather strong taste.  We purposely avoid production processes that could be used to eliminate the taste because these processes also diminish the oils’ nutritional potency.  Dr. Leonard suggests mixing a teaspoon of either Core or Ease with a glass of orange juice, grapefruit juice, or with a serving of yogurt.  “Mixing with something is fine to do, but be careful about heating the oil.  Heat can compromise the quality of the oil and might result in a loss of some of the nutrients and antioxidants.” Of course, the easiest way to avoid the taste is to order Core Capsules.
